Judea Pearl
(미국 컴퓨터과학자, 철학자, 1936~)
AI 에 대한 확률적 접근 방식으로 유명하며 베이지언 네트워크 개발에 공헌했다. 인과률의 발전에도 기여하여 2011년에 튜링상을 수상햇다 (development of a calculus for probabilistic and causal reasoning).
1960 년 이스라엘 Haifa 의 Technion 에서 전기공학 학사
1965 년 New Jersey 주의 Rutgers 대학에서 물리학으로 석사
1965 년 뉴욕의 Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn 에서 전기공학으로 박사
Princeton 의 RCA Research Laboratories 에서 superconductive parametric and storage devices 를 연구하고 Hawthorne 의 Electronic Memories, Inc 에서 advanced memory systems 를 연구하고 1970 년에 UCLA 에 합류했다.
